Watermark parent meeting - September 20th/Amy Li

Dear Parents:

Last Saturday we had a wonderful potluck dinner. Thanks to all of you who participate it. Patrick has explained why the young adults want to lead the Watermark high school kids in our community. They felt guidance, especially religion guidance is very critical to their age. In a few years, our kids will leave us to college to pursuit their future with very minimum help from us.  If we can prepare them now, then we probably do not need to worry about them while they are away. Because they know what is the true value in their hearts.

I felt extremely fortune to have so many young adults devote their time to our kids. They are willing to help but they need our support.This year we have more kids and parents from San Mateo Church, we need to thank Alice Tong (Andrew's mom) keep inviting new friends to our group. And we have some new kids and parents from the Fremont Church too. Our group is growing which means we need even more support than before.

Maybe you won't come to Watermark in a regular basis, but please still come to join our discussion to let us hear your thoughts. We also need parents to bring snacks for the kids in every Watermark meeting. The Worship team ( currently 5 or 6 people ) always come at 5:00 PM to practice their songs till 7:00 PM. We need parents to provide simple supper for them.

Please join us. If you cannot make it this Saturday but willing to help,  please e-mail me.

The parent meeting time for this Saturday is 7:30 PM till 9:30 PM at room #2.

Dear Parents:

After the long summer, we are going to have the Watermark again from this Saturday. It will be regular Bible study activities plus a potluck. The time is from 6:30 PM till 10:00 PM at the lower Church.
The food assignments is followed;

Young Adults - Main Dish/Salad
Seniors - Main Dish
Juniors - Appetizers
Sophomores - Desserts
Freshmen - Drinks

The parents are welcome to stay. Hopefully we could discuss and bring up some thoughts about the parents' group activities for this coming year.

Watermark parents activity - May 24th

Dear Parents,

We do not have any activities tomorrow. But the kids
will have a party. Thanks to Emily Chang's mom Sandy
from San Mateo Church to bring them the snacks.
Tomorrow night will be their last gathering for this

Tomorrow night the kids will have their regular
meeting. But the parents will have a dinner gathering
at Hong Fu Chinese restaurant in Cupertino at 7:30 PM.
NO Bible study.

Watermark parent activity - this Saturday, May 10th/Amy Li

Hi Parents,

This coming Saturday, the 10th, Lawrence Chow will
lead us again to study John 21:1-23.The time is as
usual from 7:45 to 9:45 pm at room #2. The kids' snack
will be prepared by San Mateo parent Alice Tong,
Andrew's mom.

Next Saturday, the 17th of May will have three events.
The first one is the workshop by 蔣範華修女, and the
topic is 比翼雙飛-婚姻中的界線 from 9:00 am to 5:00
pm. Lunch is provided and the fee is $10. Please
e-mail me, if you plan to attend.
The second event is the Tijuana meeting, from 4:00 to
6:00pm. Participate parents and students are required
to attend.
The last event is there will be a parent dinner
gathering at Hung Fu Chinese restaurant at 7:30
pm.Please e-mail me, if you could come. We need the
head counts to make reservation. I will send out a
reminder e-mail again next Monday.

Watermark parent activity - Apr 19th

Dear parents:

We will study John 15:18 - 17:19 tomorrow night.
Please come to room 2 at 7:45PM.
We were asked to support Sister Chiang's seminar on
May 17Th. The time is from 9:00 AM till 5:00 PM. We
will need helpers to set up the room and do head
counts in order to prepare lunch boxes. Please reply

Watermark parent activity - Mar 8th/Amy Li

Hi Parents,

     Since I found out that we are ahead of the high
school Watermark in studying the bible passages, we
will not have regular bible study this week.  We will
instead have a casual meeting where we will enjoy each
other's company.  The meeting will also be a time for
suggestions on how to improve our weekly parent
gathering.  I look forward to seeing you  tomorrow
night at room #1.
Thanks to Ben and Luke Pai's Dad for bringing snacks
for the Youth group.

Tijuana 2008!/Watermark

Hey Watermark!

As you know, the deadline to turn in TJ 2008 applications was this past Sunday, March 2. If you missed the deadline but meant to turn a complete application in, please contact Jessica Chow or Isabel Chou . We may still be able to accommodate your interest -- but be aware that you will likely be placed on a waiting list until official review and approval.

For everyone who did meet the deadline, we will be notifying all applicants of their official acceptance (or denial) by Friday, March 21.

HOWEVER, in the meantime, please save Saturday, March 29 on your calendars for the first MANDATORY All-Hands monthly meeting. The meeting will be held from 10:00 am - 4:00 pm at St. Clare's Parish in Santa Clara.

We are requiring all participants AND THEIR PARENTS/GUARDIAN to attend this first monthly meeting, as we will be making introductions and reviewing important dates, guidelines, and policies.

More information about the application process and the meeting will be coming soon -- please stay tuned!

Hi Parents,

I do not know if you have received e-mail from Patrick
or not. Just a reminder, we do not have any Watermark
activities this Saturday and no CM class for Sunday.
Bishop McGrath will come to the 3:00 Mass and
celebrate Chinese New year with us on the 17th.
We will resume the regular activities on the 23rd.

Sorry for sending this information late. This Saturday
the special guests will share the topic of

Hai Hsia has invited Jean Lee who is Hank Lee's
mother.  Hank was the first young adult who
guided Watermark. She also invited Li-Peng Chou and
Hsiao Yin Lee, they are Isabel Chou's parents.

The snacks are prepared by 黃白蘭,陜界強夫婦. We will
meet at the same place Room #1 from 7:45 till 9:45.

We have the Diocese's Basketball game tonight at
Mitty High school. Please join the fun if you have
time. I think you may buy ticket at the door.

Bible Study this Saturday - Jan 19th/Amy Li

Hi Parents,

Time passes so fast, it is close to the weekend again.
This Saturday 王樹治 will lead our Bible Study to
share Gospel John chapter 6. The snack will be

Tony has mentioned there are two events maybe are good
for us to attend with our kids.

Chinese Acrobat    Saturday 1/26 3PM @ Flint center
Diocese Basketball Friday  2/1 7PM @ Mitty High school

Watermark Parents: Two upcoming fun/social family activities - Tony

Dear Watermark Parents,
As discussed last night, there are two upcoming social activities that are worth consider participating as a group. For both activities, please respond to Amy and let her know how many are kids/adults coming from your family by Wednesday 1/16.

1. Peking Acrobats at Flint Center Cupertino at 3pm on Saturday 1/26

• key idea is promote family activity with Chinese heritage, we saw similar performance in Beijing last year, and it was great. This is an excellent experience for our kids to see performance from top acrobats from China, and could be a fun outing with other families.
  
• for the $45 tickets, Kai Main negotiated 20% off for group purchase=$36 per person. Please reserve with Amy by Wed 1/16 so she can get tickets from Kai Min. (please provide name, number of people, and phone numbers)
  
• the entire group can try to get seats together, have dinner after the show, and come to Watermark together

2. San Jose Diocese Basketball Game between Priest and Seminarians at 7pm on Friday 2/1 at Archbishop Mitty High School (5000 Mitty Way
San Jose)

• this is a fund raising activity for the Seminarians ($5 for students, $10 for adults), sponsored by the Vocation group, our family went last year (along with 1200 others from the Diocese!), and it was a lot of fun for everyone, whether you are into sports or not.
  
• it's possible that we can try to sit together during the game, kids will probably be seating together with other Watermark friends anyway
  

Also, a friendly reminder from Hai Hsia that there is a Tijuana meeting after Mass on 1/27 in the Parish Hall.

Bible Study this Saturday - Jan 12th - Amy Li

Hi Parents,

This Saturday the kids will resume their regular
Watermark activity at the lower Church. They are quite
excited with this new meeting place, it is much larger
than the classroom.
鄒世亮 will lead our Bible Study to discuss Gospel
John chapters 1-6. And he will go over the important
messages in these chapters.The snack will be prepared
by Raymond and Ivy Chen, parents from San Mateo
Church.
We still meet in the classroom either #1 or #2 from
7:45 till 10:00.And need everyone's opinion about
which topic should we select for February Special
Sharing.Please bring in new ideas if you have any.
